John Mayer (zijn volledige naam John Clayton Mayer) is een bekende Amerikaanse singer-songwriter en gitarist. Hij is geboren op 16 oktober 1977 in de Amerikaanse stad Bridgeport.

Jeugd Mayer groeide op vlak bij de stad Fairfield, met zijn oudere broer Carl en zijn jongere broer Ben.
